Amber & Andy’s Epic Mountain Wedding in Carbondale, Colorado

Amber and Andy’s wedding day was the kind of day you dream about as a photographer—bluebird skies, a stunning couple, and a setting that just hits different. Their celebration took place at a private ranch in Carbondale, Colorado, with jaw-dropping views of Mount Sopris in the background. Seriously, I kept catching myself pausing mid-shoot just to take in the view. The venue had this perfect blend of rustic charm and elevated mountain vibes, and with Juls Sharpley pulling everything together, the whole day felt like magic from start to finish.

What made this mountain wedding really special, though, was the energy. Amber and Andy kept their guest list intimate—just their favorite people—and it showed in every moment. There was so much love, laughter, and happy tears, I couldn’t stop smiling behind the camera. As golden hour rolled in, we snuck away into a nearby field that looked straight out at Mount Sopris. The light was unreal, and those portraits turned into some of my favorite images of the entire season—just the two of them, soaking it all in.

And let’s talk about the party. Their friend flew in from Los Angeles to DJ, and the dance floor under the stars was pure joy. People let loose in the best way, and later in the night, things took a wild and hilarious turn with a mini champagne-spraying moment that felt like something out of Cloud Nine après-ski—but with a more refined, mountain-chic twist. It was fun, a little rowdy, and so perfectly them. This one’s going down as an all-time favorite.
