Hey! I’m Dale
Dale grew up in the Pacific Northwest, where the mountains, forests, and coastline shaped his love for nature and adventure. That pull toward the outdoors eventually brought him to Colorado, where the landscapes felt like the right fit. Over the years, he’s traveled to more than 80 countries, always with a camera nearby, documenting people and places with curiosity and care. That experience influences how he approaches weddings—with an eye for real moments and a genuine interest in the people in front of his lens.
Now based in Aspen, Dale brings a calm, steady presence to every shoot. He’s not just focused on taking great photos—he’s focused on telling a story that feels personal. His background in travel and filmmaking helps him notice the little things that make a day memorable, whether it’s a quiet exchange before the ceremony or a big laugh on the dance floor.
He and his wife, Carolina, spend their time skiing, hiking, and exploring around Aspen. Dale’s goal is simple: to create photos and films that feel like you—not overly styled or forced, but natural, thoughtful, and full of meaning.
Hi! It’s Carolina
Carolina grew up in Bariloche, Argentina, surrounded by lakes, mountains, and the kind of natural beauty that makes you want to pick up a camera. That early love for photography and the outdoors eventually led her to Aspen in 2012—another mountain town that quickly felt like home.
For Carolina, photography has always been a way to hold onto a feeling. She’s drawn to the kind of images that bring people back to a moment—not just how it looked, but how it felt. That’s what she aims for when documenting weddings. She focuses on the real stuff: the quiet in-between moments, the spontaneous laughs, and the emotions that unfold naturally throughout the day.
She brings a grounded, thoughtful energy to every celebration—whether that means helping calm nerves, blending into the background, or jumping in to keep things moving. More than anything, Carolina wants couples to feel comfortable, seen, and themselves in front of the camera. Her goal is to create images that feel honest, warm, and lasting.
Our Style
Natural. Cinematic. Unforgettable.
Here’s the thing—we’re not here to pose you all day or churn out a cookie-cutter highlight reel. At Summit Photo and Film, we approach every wedding with the goal of feeling the day just as much as we’re documenting it. That means we’re watching for the real stuff: the quick glances, the shaky hands, the full-body laughs, and the quiet, emotional pauses no one else sees.
We’re not just photographers and filmmakers—we’re storytellers who care deeply about connection. Our style blends intentional composition with a documentary feel, so everything looks beautiful but never staged. You’ll get guidance when you need it, but we’ll never make your day feel like a photo shoot.
We’re also rooted in adventure. Growing up in places like Bariloche and the Pacific Northwest, and now calling Aspen home, we’re constantly inspired by wild landscapes and wide-open spaces. So whether you’re on a mountaintop saying your vows or dancing barefoot under the stars, we’re right there with you—capturing it all honestly, artfully, and without interrupting the magic.
If you’re looking for a team that values real connection, lets moments breathe, and delivers work that feels like you, not like everyone else—you’re in the right place.
